About the Company
Our client is a public listed company that specialises in the construction & design for high rise commercial & residential buildings. The company is registered under category G7 with the Construction Industry Development Board which allows the company to tender for any Government and private construction contracts without any limitation on size and value of contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Manager – Contracts and Manager – Project on the quantity of building materials required to purchase for each site.
- Control and monitor the purchase of building materials at each site.
- Source for quotations of building materials from suppliers.
- Provide on-the-job training for staff in the department.
- Ensure information in the Purchase Order issued is adequate.
- Ensure prompt delivery of building materials at the site.
- Verify weekly submission of delivery orders from the site.
- Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Quantity Survey or Construction Management.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
- Candidates without qualifications but vast experience will be considered.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.
