SMT/MI Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the SMT production process, including component placement, soldering, and inspection.
- Develop production schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of SMT assemblies.
- Optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and implement process improvements.
- Maintain quality control standards for SMT assembly processes, product quality, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in SMT assembly.
- Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source SMT components, equipment, and materials.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and implement strategies for process improvement to enhance SMT production efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Conduct data analysis, implement statistical process control (SPC) methodologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to SMT assembly processes (e.g., ISO standards).
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in SMT.
- Sound knowledge of electronic manufacturing engineering processes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
