Job Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations & Data Entry: Manage and handle daily accounts operations and data entry, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Ensure all transactions are accurately updated and organized, with proper record-keeping and documentation.
- Debt Management: Control and chase debt, taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors. Evaluate new credit requests and assess customers' credit rankings.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Participate in budget planning, auditing, and taxation. Achieve financial objectives by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting financial operations.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with local and group accounting standards, taxation regulations, and relevant legal requirements. Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities.
- Payroll & Cost Management: Conduct monthly payroll checks and calculation verification. Handle cost analysis and support cost control activities, including preparing insights on costing calculations and providing leadership in cost-related projects.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Manage month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts, and ensure closing is completed within the stipulated timeline.
- Accounts & Finance Function Oversight: Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including: Ledger/account maintenance and reconciliation, Cash flow projection and management, Accounts receivables and payables management, Audit and tax-related matters
- Ad Hoc Assignments: Assist in any other ad hoc assignments as needed and provide additional support as required by the management.
Job Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or a related accounting environment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel (proficient in managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills to handle large datasets.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong team management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and collaborating with all departments.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Ability to multitask and a natural aptitude for mathematics.
