Job Description


Summary of the Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting responsibilities, including financial accounting and closing, statutory reporting, audit, taxation, internal control and so on. You will ensure compliance to statutory and company policies, support the company when expanding into new markets, as well as continually explore ways to streamline and improve processes ensuring that the appropriate financial control systems and accounting procedures are effectively implemented in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial results for APAC in accordance to IFRS
  • Prepare full sets of accounts, bank reconciliation, month-end closing requirements
  • Review intercompany transactions between subsidiaries of Group to ensure that intercompany balances are reconciled. Engage subsidiaries to minimize differences where applicable
  • Point of contact for audit process
  • Ensure the monthly and annual financial processes are efficient, within the agreed timeframes and meet the needs of stakeholders, regulatory bodies and senior management
  • Good knowledge in accounting standards including monitoring any changes in those standards as well as ensuring internal processes & systems are compliant
  • Support APAC process and reporting improvement effort, including process streamlining, data structure standardization and reporting automation, etc
  • Be involved in cross-functional project teams, carry out other related duties as required.

Qualifications


Your profile

  • ACCA/Degree qualified with > 3 years of professional experience
  • Hands-on exposure in managing full set of accounts, closing, statutory reporting
  • Experience handling APAC countries is preferred
  • Audit experience are preferred
  • Good knowledge on IFRS, GAAP and consolidation, tax regulation, laws and any other compliance requirements
  • Experience with ERP system and Reporting tools. Xero, Lucanet, Business Central will be of advantage
  • Traits: Team player, hardworking, hands-on, confident, flexible, able to look at process improvement and has a positive learning attitude
