You will be part of our Operational Care Team to add your expertise + skills to the delivery of Operational Excellence

Your Role

You will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders + vendors to arrange + approve value added services (VAS) for our customers

Your Responsibilities

Your scope of responsibilities will be determined by your country structure + your manager, consisting of some/all of the following tasks

  • To organize transport based on the customer promise + lowest cost.
  • To coordinate with the customer on specific pick-up/drop off location + time.
  • To facilitate permits +documents for customs.
  • To arrange other VAS such as fumigation, stuffing, certificate of origin, etc.
  • To perform all commination with vendors with exception of carriers.
  • To update systems status + upload documents relating to KN services.
  • To attend to Dangerous Goods approvals.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE TO WORK IN THE VALUE ADDED SERVICES TEAM?

  • Start your day reviewing the status of VAS requests + prioritize in line with our customer promise. During the day you maintain close relationships with our vendor’s teams.
  • Representing the world’s largest NVOCC, you continuously negotiate the best buying rates in the market while securing + enforcing service level commitments.
  • Then, ensure all relevant systems are updated with the newest information. You will attend to approval requests for import + export dangerous goods shipments, playing an essential role in keeping our organisation, our vendors + our customer’s safe.
  • Finally, set aside sufficient time to analyze your buying rates + deploy procurement initiatives to optimize our cost base.


Your Skills and Experiences

  • Proven experience in sea logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and documentation for sea logistics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with dangerous goods handling and approvals is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
