Drainage Engineer

1)Overseeing the production of drainage designs, models, calculations and technical drawings 2)Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the drainage needs and conditions 3)Develop plans and specifications that meet the technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements 4)Coordinate and supervise the construction and installation of drainage facilities and equipment 5)Monitor and inspect the performance of the system, troubleshoot any drainage issues or problems that arise 6)Provide technical advice to clients and contractors 7)Conduct research to improve drainage practices and technologies. 8)Planning drainage systems using computer modelling software 9)Working with clients to ensure that their requirements are fulfilled, and expectations met 10)Using advanced computer modelling tools 11)Assessing the environmental impact of proposed works 12)Keeping up to date with changing legislation and codes of practice to ensure compliance 13)Visiting the site during construction to make sure the works are completed to specification 14)Oversee construction project and visit site to understand the project requirements and note any complexities 15)Helping to design flood management or defence systems 16)Combining an in-depth understanding of physics and computer-based designs tools.
