Design Engineer

Role: Responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish. Responsibilities: • Study and analyse data of client’s design proposal, specifications and manuals to determines feasibility of design and application. • Study project specification and technical datasheet before proceed to system design and evaluate the function, safety and appearance of product to ensure they have a practical design for the system. • Execute design for Fire Alarm System & Fire Suppression System according to clients’ requirement. • Execute system configuration using Fire Alarm System software and run flow calculation for Fire Suppression piping design. • Prepare Procurement Monitoring Sheet prior to procurement activity according to project handover budget. • Prepare and submit TBE and TBE comply to procurement for sourcing, Project Schedule as reference to meet the delivery time. • Perform Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). • Supervise and responsible to review the drawings provided by drafter. • Study and familiarize with MS 1745, NFPA, PTS (Petronas Technical Standard) and other technical standards. • Produce documents and drawings (BOM, Datasheet, Cause & Effect Matrix, IO List, Power Consumption Calculation, Piping Calculation, General Arrangement Drawing, Schematic & Wiring Drawings, Hook-up & Installation Details, etc.). • Prepare/Feed progress to Planner and ensure the progress report is correct before submission to client • Monitor the whole project flow according to the project schedule to ensure the delivery time is meet the delivery date set by client. • Perform site works/project monitoring at site if required or instructed by Project Manager. Others • To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior. Authorities: Represent company to liaise with client and external parties Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree Intrumentation & Controls Engineering Skills and/or Experience: 1. Microsoft Office, Matlab, AutoCad & C++ 2. Involved in MRT project P-179 (S-208) Fresh graduate and experience candidate are welcome to join us.
