JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assistant Housekeeping Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall aesthetic appeal of the property. This position focuses primarily on training and developing housekeeping staff while also overseeing daily operations to maintain the highest standards of service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement training programs for new and existing housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to enhance performance and service quality.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations and supervision of housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure all rooms and public areas are cleaned to the hotel's standards.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Perform inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to cleanliness or guest complaints promptly.
  • Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all cleaning procedures comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Train staff on proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain records of staff training, performance, and operational reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking for the housekeeping department.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping at 4-star hotels, with a focus on training preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
