Piping Designer

1) Ensure all modelling & draughting activities are completed within allocated schedule and budgeted hours. Efficiently & effectively manage multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team. Communicate with Senior Piping Designers daily & seek guidance to prevent undue delay and ensure success of the project. 2) Utilise Autodesk Plant 3D or CADWorx Plant and AutoCAD computer aided design (CAD) software. Perform 3D modelling activities and maintain clash free models. Prepares 2D CAD drawings complete with Bill of Material (BOM) as directed. Adhere to International Codes of Practice and industry standards. 3) Review of P&ID, project documents and vendor drawings or documents. 4) Be responsible for technical correctness of own and other Designers’ deliverables. Ensure output is completed on time, on budget, and exceeding quality standards. 5) Assist in design reviews and participate in other discipline reviews as appropriate. Ensure incorporation of all Piping-related review comments. Detailed review of drawings for scope & presentation, including checking of own and others’ work for technical accuracy and adherence to company standards. 6) Adhere to & comply with design procedures & standards and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Identify potential applications for new processes & technologies to improve productivity and efficiency. 7) Ensure effective communication & interface between all disciplines for design and development. 8) Participate in internal audits and investigations as required. Travel to and visit client offices to meet with technical representatives and perform site survey with Senior Designers, if required. 9) Establish and maintain effective working relationships internally. Engage with inter-discipline community & promote networking and knowledge sharing.
