Associate Professor

Associate Professor General Responsibilities Teaching Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in the Computing field. Prepare course materials, conduct lectures, lead seminars, and facilitate discussions. Research Conduct original research in the field of expertise. Publish research findings in high ranking journals such as WoS and Scopus, present at academic conferences, and secure research funding as principal investigators. Service Participate in departmental and university committees. Contribute to academic governance, curriculum development, and program reviews. Engage in community outreach and professional service. Teaching Requirements Course Load Typically 2 to 3 courses per semester. Includes undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. Course Development Design and update course syllabi, materials, and assessments. Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies. Student Interaction Advise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, including undergraduate and graduate research supervision. Provide academic and career guidance. Research Expectations Publications Publish regularly in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Maintain a strong record of scholarly output. Grants Seek and secure external research funding. Collaborate with other researchers and institutions on funded projects. Research Impact Aim to produce research that advances the field and contributes to societal and academic knowledge. Service Duties: Departmental Service Serve on departmental committees, contribute to departmental meetings, and support faculty and student initiatives. University Service Participate in university-wide committees or initiatives, including academic and administrative bodies. Professional Engagement Engage in professional organisations, peer review, and conference organisation. Qualifications: Education Bachelor in Computer Science / IT or relevant. Ph.D. in the Computing or relevant field. Experience Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and service. Proven track record of publications and funded research. Skills Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
