Job Summary

The Assistant Biomedical & Facilities Manager is responsible for organizing, administrating, and developing objectives, planning for improvement, implementation, and monitoring of an efficient and workable Biomedical & Facilities service to ensure smooth operations of Biomedical &Facilities Department and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To plan and control the activities of the FEMS and BEMS department and its personnel.
  • To implement the administrative policies established by the Hospital.
  • To plan, implement and monitor scheduled planned preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance for building facilities and equipments.
  • To provide hands on trouble shooting and repairs to facilities and equipment's.
  • To put into effect key performance indicators for FEMS and BEMS rendered.
  • To monitor and evaluate the FEMS and BEMS rendered for improvement and for efficient utilization of staffs.
  • To investigate complaints regarding FEMS and BEMS, solve the issues, submit report with recommendations whenever nessasary.
  • To maintain proper documentation and records for servicing and repairs of equipment's and facilities.
  • To plan for budgeting manpower requirements and allocations of resources to service areas.
  • To plan and conduct discussions with FEMS and BEMS staff to encourage participation in formulating departmental policies and procedures.
  • To maintain discipline of FEMS and BEMS staff and execute appropriate action as deemed necessary.
  • To ensure harmonious work relationship among all personnel's.
  • To oversee and advice on contractors at place of work on FEMS and BEMS issues.
  • To liaise and update Head of Department and in the absence of Head of Department to CEO on all relevant matters.

Education Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree in Biomedical/Engineering/Facilities Management.
  • Competency Certificate in Engineering i.e Safety, Biomedical, Electrical, Electronic, Civil & Mechanical.

Experience / Knowledge Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in hospital settings.
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of people.
  • Computer literate.
  • Competency Certificate Issued from the Authorities related to engineering.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
