Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our finance department. The successful candidate will assist in financial operations, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Data Management:
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Input and manage financial transactions in accounting software.
- Reconciliation and Auditing:
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Invoice and Payment Processing:
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements accurately and timely.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Compile data for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and correspondence.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist the finance team in day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero) and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and procedures.
Soft Skills:
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
