  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are looking for:

Financial Reporting Manager

Industry:Manufacturer

Location:Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

Job Description:

- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes for balance sheet and income statement accounts, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll-forward schedules.

- Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Oversee payroll, benefits, and cash reconciliations for proper ERP system integration.

- Assist with the recording of fixed assets and conduct periodic reconciliations.

- Verify GL coding for daily transactions and supporting documentation.

- Lead the month-end closing process, preparing financial statements and variance analysis for management.

- Investigate discrepancies, work with relevant teams to resolve issues, and ensure proper accounting treatment.

- Prepare audit workpapers to support GAAP, IFRS, and statutory reporting requirements.

- Manage ad-hoc duties and projects as required by management.

Job Requirements:

- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar financial accounting or reporting role.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, auditing, and taxation.

- Detail-oriented, independent, proactive, responsible, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Willingness to work extended hours during the month-end close and peak periods.

- Flexible work schedule.
