Role Overview:
The Junior IT Support role involves providing first-level technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and assisting end-users with hardware and software issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic IT issues for end-users.
- Provide support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- System Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment.
- Assist with backups and data recovery.
- Network Support:
- Monitor network connectivity and report issues to the IT team.
- Assist in setting up and configuring network devices.
- Documentation:
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Record all support activities in the ticketing system.
- Training:
- Provide basic IT training to staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Basic understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals is a plus.
