Job Description:

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Cititel Penang Georgetown. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and organization meet company standards.
  • Assign tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties are completed on time.
  • Ensure the proper handling and usage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, placing orders when necessary.
  • Respond to guest complaints and concerns, providing quick and effective resolutions.
  • Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct regular performance appraisals, providing feedback and guidance for improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records for room inspections, staff attendance, and departmental reports.
  • Coordinate with the front office and maintenance teams to address any guest room issues promptly.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in training new staff and ensure they understand housekeeping procedures and hotel policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Education: SPM / Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a supervisory role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and ensure high levels of productivity.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (both spoken and written).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
