Our client is a global advisory firm with a network in over 17 countries. In line with their business expansion, they are looking to bring on board a Corporate Finance Assistant Manager to join their team.

Job responsibilities

  • To support the Corporate Finance Director or Corporate Finance Manager in providing a full range of corporate finance advisory services, including IPO, M&A, due diligence, valuation, and other related support services.
  • To support the team in assisting clients in the process of IPO, including preparing the necessary documents and filings, including prospectuses and management discussion and analysis (MD&A).
  • To support the team in conducting the business valuation of companies using generally recognised valuation methodologies for valuing different types of assets or liabilities, such as discounted cash flows (DCF) valuation, relative valuation using comparable market information and any other valuation methodologies as deemed appropriate.
  • To ensure the corporate finance proposals comply with the applicable laws and regulations, including the applicable listing requirements issued by Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, guidelines and rules issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia, and laws and regulations such as the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and the Companies Act 2016.
  • To coordinate and participate in discussions with the client’s management team, as well as the other advisers/professionals and/or any other parties appointed by the client.
  • To support the team to ensure execution timeliness in the client’s engagement.

Requirements to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in accounting, finance, business administration, mathematics, statistics, economics or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA or CPA would be an added advantage.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in the activity and development of the capital markets, especially in Malaysia.
  • Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
