Tooling Engineer - Molding - MNC Manufacturer - Ulu Tiram

Job Responsibilities:

• Attending mold design review, mold trial review, project review meetings.
• Continuously improve all phases of tool design and fabrication planning and execution.
• Monitor program timing closely and meet commitment.
• Ensure conformance to quality system and procedures.
• Liaise with Designers, Mould makers, Planners on the progress of tool fabrication to achieve 100% on -time delivery.
• Provide timely updates and Gantt charts to Customers and BD groups.
• Attend mold testing and perform molding process optimization to achieve part consistency quality.
• Study FAI report for dimensional rectification according product form fit functions as required by the customer.  Lead team in problem solving identification of problems and analysis of the root cause.
• Liaise with suppliers for mold outsourcing on all tooling related issues.
• Maintain proper documentations in server for all tooling projects assigned; Ensure conformity to QEHS management system.
• Provide BD with technical support and customers with tooling feasibilities;
• Prepare quotation for engineering change requests.
• Maintain ERP system and work procedure accordingly.
• Ensure conformity of mold built to the customer’s tool specifications.
• Prepare weekly project status report for all related departments (feedback on issues);
• Prepare project costing summary (profit & loss).
• Prepare and submit required monthly reports.
• Propose estimates for new molds and for engineering changes in production.
• Revise working methods or processes for higher productivity and quality improvements.
• Provide support to Production for mold repair and improvements.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
