CAD Drafter

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Civil and Structural Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans that support the design, construction, and maintenance of civil and structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting software and have an understanding of engineering principles and design codes. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed drawings for civil and structural engineering projects, including foundations, buildings, bridges, roads, and utilities. Convert sketches, concepts, and rough designs into accurate, high-quality technical drawings. Ensure that all drawings are compliant with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. Work closely with engineers to interpret and clarify design concepts, ensuring that the final drafts meet the required standards and regulations. Review and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, or other stakeholders. Assist in preparing layouts and technical documentation for construction projects. Prepare structural details, including reinforcement schedules, load calculations, and material specifications. Create and maintain organized project files, drawings, and documentation. Support engineers during project planning, design, and construction phases. Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are accurately reflected in the drafts. Perform quality control checks to ensure precision and completeness of drafted designs. Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software (knowledge of BIM software is a plus). Ability to understand and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers and other professionals. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of construction materials, practices, and terminology is beneficial. Ability to work independently and take initiative in solving design issues.
