Key Responsibilities
1. Student Registration and Enrollment
- Help with student registration and course enrollment, ensuring students are enrolled in the correct classes.
- Support in course scheduling and collaborate with academic departments to ensure course offerings meet student needs.
- Assist students with registration issues, course changes, and meeting academic requirements.
2. Academic Records Management
- Maintain and update student academic records (grades, transcripts, and graduation data).
- Process transcript requests and manage degree verifications.
- Assist with degree audits to ensure students meet graduation requirements.
3. Policy and Procedure Support
- Help enforce academic policies related to registration, grading, and student records.
- Provide information to students and staff about policies such as course withdrawals, academic standing, and credit transfer.
4. Student Support
- Advise students on academic records, registration, and course selection.
- Help students with add/drop requests and answer questions about program requirements.
5. Reporting and Administrative Support
- Generate reports related to enrollment and academic performance.
- Assist with data management and prepare reports for internal use.
- Help maintain and update the university catalog and academic schedules.
6. Special Projects
- Assist with special projects related to graduation ceremonies, registration systems, or policy development.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in an academic or administrative role (preferably in a registrar’s office or similar environment).
- Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) or database management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy academic setting.
