Key Responsibilities: - Dispensing Medications: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations. - Patient Counseling: Provide clear, accurate, and professional advice to patients regarding the proper use of their medications, potential side effects, and any other health-related concerns. - Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that medications are stocked appropriately and safely stored. - Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy and patient outcomes. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pharmaceutical practices are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and prescription files in compliance with legal and company standards. - Promote Health and Wellness: Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, including proper medication use and overall wellness. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent (Doctor of Pharmacy, Pharm.D. preferred). Must be a licensed or certified pharmacist - Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. - Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical medications, treatments, and dosages. - Excellent communication skills and ability to provide customer service in a professional and approachable manner. - Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. - Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
