  • Procurement: The purchasing professional is responsible for placing orders for materials, equipment, and services required for printing and packaging production. Ensure that the orders are delivered on time and meet the company's quality standards. Ensuring all stock is packages appropriately and delivered to correct location in timely manner.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring an inventory of raw materials, such as paper, ink, and packaging materials, and ensures that the inventory levels are sufficient to meet production demands. (Collaborate with operation team to justify the needs.) - Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as required.
  • Cost Management: The purchasing professional works with suppliers to negotiate prices and reduce costs. Monitor the expenses associated with purchasing and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Invoicing & payment verification: Verifies invoices against job order to ensure accurate billing for materials & services provided. Alias with finance for payment coordination upon timing of payment to supplier. Communicate with suppliers to resolve any payment-related query or issues.
  • Equipment & Machinery Procurement: The purchasing professional is responsible for ensuring that all printing and packaging equipment & machinery is properly maintained and serviced. (Tracking on maintenance records and collaborate with maintenance team.) . Work with equipment suppliers to ensure that maintenance schedules are followed and repairs are made in a timely manner.
  • Supplier & team member Relationship Management: The purchasing professional develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. Work with other departments within the company, such as production and sales, to ensure that purchasing activities align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Compliance: The purchasing professional ensures that all purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
