The Lab Filtration Sales Specialist is responsible for driving Lab Filtration business in specified countries within ASEAN region.
This position reports to the Discovery Specialist Leader and is part of the Discovery Business Unit Commercial team working remotely to cover specified countries of ASEAN region to drive the Lab Filtration portfolio. What you will do:
- Responsible to develop and deliver overall product strategies for Applied markets, academic, pharma & life sciences customers to achieve and exceed annual sales targets and customer happiness. Promote products from leading brands in Cytiva Lab filtration products to improve customer workflows and drive focus projects to ensure our products are incorporated into part of customer workflows.
- Responsible for lead generation and conversion and seek opportunities to convert technical enquiries into new or developed sales possibilities. Prospecting for new customers and growing existing business to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales. Generating proposals when needed for both customers and channel partners, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory by developing good understanding of the market and develop product & pricing strategies to achieve & exceed the sales targets for responsible products.
- Work closely with regional and global Product Managers, Applications Specialists and Sales to develop strategic plans & directions ensure customer and business needs are met.
- Conduct regular workshops, seminars, and product demonstrations for potential customers and regular trainings for channel partners.
- Identify right product positioning strategies for different market segments and understand the competitive landscape in the market with field time spend at least 60% - 70% in the field. Motivate, Empower, encourage, and support distributors to promote Cytiva products.
Who you are:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or equivalent with business knowledge. Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
- At least 3 - 5 year(s) of working experience in a related field with sales or product management experience is required for this position.
- Proven understanding in Lab filtration portfolio, pharmaceutical products testing, applied market, microbiology quality control testing is an added advantage.
- Results-oriented individual with ability to energize, develop and build rapport within organization and channel partners.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 40 - 50% within your specified geographic region (ASEAN) and periodic long-distance travels for sales meetings, training, seminars, and tradeshows.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Selling lab filtration products
- Working with pharmaceutical/analytical testing laboratories
