Job Summary The CFO will play a pivotal role in steering the financial success and operational efficiency of the organization. Key responsibilities are focused on optimizing cash flow, resolving critical issues, and driving business growth and continuity. 1. Cash Flow Management Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and maintain adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs. Monitor daily cash flow and ensure efficient allocation of resources across the organization. Forecast future cash flow scenarios to support decision-making and mitigate financial risks. 2. Statutory Debt Settlement Assess, prioritize, and implement plans to settle statutory debts and obligations in a timely manner. Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and financial institutions to ensure compliance and maintain credibility. Negotiate terms and manage repayment schedules effectively to minimize financial strain. 3. Profit and Loss (P&L) Optimization for Each Division Analyze and improve the profitability of each division through detailed performance metrics and cost optimization. Collaborate with division leaders to set financial targets and monitor performance against these targets. Identify under performing areas and implement corrective measures to achieve financial objectives. 4. Resolution of Internal Issues Address and resolve financial discrepancies, process inefficiencies, and communication gaps within the finance department. Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals. Develop and enforce policies to improve transparency and accountability across the organization. 5. Resolution of Operational Issues Partner with operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks affecting financial and operational performance. Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Ensure that financial strategies support operational excellence and long-term sustainability. 6. Business Expansion and Development Lead financial planning and analysis to support business expansion initiatives, including market entry, partnerships, and acquisitions. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to the executive team. Secure funding and resources to support business growth objectives. 7. New Projects and Project Continuity Assess the financial feasibility and risks of new projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Establish and monitor budgets for new and ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion and financial efficiency. Coordinate with project managers to address challenges and maintain project momentum. 8. Strategic Leadership Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Develop financial models and frameworks to drive long-term growth and sustainability. Lead the finance team in creating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field preferred. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles. Proven track record of driving financial performance and strategy in similar organizations. Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) would be preferably.
