Key Responsibilities:

Counselor Role:

  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling services focusing on mental health, personal development, and academic challenges.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on mental health awareness, stress management, resilience, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and assist students facing mental health challenges.
  • Develop tailored intervention plans to support students’ academic and personal growth.

Junior Lecturer Role (Mental Health):

  • Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials on topics such as mental health, psychology, counseling strategies, and related subjects.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of the mental health curriculum.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, examinations, and projects.
  • Support students in research, case studies, and practical applications of mental health concepts.
  • Contribute to departmental research and academic activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mental health and integrate them into teaching practices.

Preferred Qualifications:Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Mental Health, or a related field (essential).
  • Additional certifications in counseling, psychotherapy, or mental health (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Licensed Professional Counselor) are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a counseling role, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in mental health or psychology is highly desirable.
  • Experience conducting workshops or seminars on mental health topics.

Skills:

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of mental health issues, counseling techniques, and psychological principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a student-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in using educational technologies and virtual learning platforms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
