Responsibilities include:
- Baking: Preparing and baking baked goods like cakes, cookies, pies, and breads using traditional and modern recipes
- Creating desserts: Developing new desserts to enhance menus and engage customers
- Decorating: Decorating pastries with icings and toppings to make them visually appealing
- Managing ingredients: Managing ingredient stocks and sourcing suppliers to ensure a reliable supply
- Maintaining equipment: Maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards
- Training staff: Guiding and training staff
- Working with a team: Working with a team of other chefs
- Testing recipes: Testing new recipes
Pastry chef should have leadership qualities, creativity, expertise in balancing flavors, and highly developed technical skills. A minimum diploma in the related field is acceptable. At least 3 to 5 years of experience is necessary. Depending on experience the salary ranges from RM 3k to RM 4.5k.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
