Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Assistant to support our EHS department in ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies, practices, and programs, while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
Support the EHS team in conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Help prepare and maintain accurate records of EHS incidents, inspections, audits, and training sessions.
Assist in the investigation of accidents and near misses, documenting findings and suggesting corrective actions.
Participate in risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Aid in the preparation of reports and presentations related to EHS performance, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
Support the organization of EHS training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs for employees.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in environmental health and safety.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental sustainability across the organization.
Perform administrative tasks as necessary to support the EHS team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
Previous experience in an EHS role or related field is a plus.
Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015,ISO45001:2018 & etc.) is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
A proactive attitude and a passion for promoting a safe and environmentally-friendly workplace.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to conduct site inspections and assessments, which may involve walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials up to [insert weight limit].
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
