We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Cum Inventory Clerk to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure that production operations run smoothly. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Purchasing Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment required for production.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate pricing and terms to secure the best value for the company.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on production needs and inventory levels.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain dynamics to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
Inventory Management Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Track inventory usage and forecast future needs based on production schedules.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Qualifications
- Secondary school education or equivalent or more ; additional certification in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Job Type: Fresh graduate
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,936.46 per month
