The Ice Cream/Gelato Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the ice cream/gelato outlet, ensuring top-notch product quality and excellent customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and achieving sales targets. The supervisor plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and engaging customer experience while ensuring operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and lead the outlet team to deliver exceptional service.
- Train new staff in preparation techniques, customer service, and hygiene practices.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
Customer Service Excellence
- Maintain a friendly, welcoming environment for customers.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and suggest improvements for service delivery.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor product quality and ensure gelato/ice cream is prepared and displayed to company standards.
- Manage stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Reduce waste by implementing efficient storage and serving practices.
Financial Accountability
- Handle cash management, including daily sales reconciliation and deposits.
- Support in meeting sales targets and controlling operational costs.
- Prepare and review sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Enforce hygiene and cleanliness standards as per health regulations.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the outlet complies with food safety and workplace safety regulations.
- Train the team on safety practices and respond to potential issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or food service is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in a food and beverage environment, preferably in ice cream, gelato, or dessert-focused outlets.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
