About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for increasingly complex projects, contributing to the design and development of our Android applications. You will work closely with direct and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and delightful user experiences.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead the development of new features and improvements for our Android applications.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify and fix bugs, optimize application performance, and ensure the app runs smoothly on various devices.
- Mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and navigate technical challenges.
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, testing, and debugging.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the development process.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in Android development. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack, Compose, latest versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and practices.
- Knowledge of design principles and interface guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
It Will Be Great If You Have:
- Experience with MVVM architecture and other modern Android architectures.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment.
