Banking | Data Analyst (Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI) at Kuala Lumpur

JOB DETAILS:

Position: Senior Data Analyst

Industry: Banking

Working Day/Hour: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm

Working Duration: Contract with PERSOLKELLY until 30th September 2025 – contract extension based on performance.

Working Location: Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid)

Salary: Basic up to RM 11,000 (Based on qualifications & experiences) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage

Primary responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data related to risk and control metrics, including key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and control effectiveness metrics.
• Report Generation: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track and visualize risk and control metrics, trends, and performance against targets.
• Insight Generation: Extract insights from data analysis to identify emerging risks, trends, and areas for improvement in risk management and control processes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, risk management teams, and business unit leaders, through written reports, presentations, and data visualization.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, automate manual tasks, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of risk and control reporting.
• Risk Mitigation: Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies based on insights derived from data analysis and reporting.
• Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies through the analysis and reporting of relevant metrics.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide analytical support for special projects, audits, and investigations related to risk and control.

WHO CAN APPLY?

• Minimum 2 – 5 years’ working experience in data analyst
• Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, with a focus on risk management and control metrics.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and control best practices is preferred.
• Experience working in a financial services or regulated industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
