On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Business Development Director to lead their expansion efforts across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the Malaysian market. Position: Business Development Director

Location: Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic business growth through initiatives focused on revenue generation and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key government agencies to maximize opportunities.
  • Oversee the tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation processes for large-scale projects.
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies aligned with organizational goals and market leadership objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering professional development and a results-oriented culture.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to inform strategic decisions and optimize sales approaches.
  • Conduct detailed market research to identify opportunities for expansion across industries and geographies.
  • Monitor industry competitors and potential collaborators to adapt to market dynamics and uncover growth opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; a Master’s or advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in business development and sales within technology, AI, or automation sectors.
  • Minimum 10 years in business development roles in IT solutions, cloud platforms, or related fields, with 2-3 years in a leadership role in the AI industry.
  • Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Proven ability to lead and close complex, high-value deals using a solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the Malaysian market and trends in SaaS, Big Data, and AI.
  • Experience managing multi-jurisdictional proposals involving cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

Remuneration Package:

  • Basic Salary: RM20,000
