Job descriptions: • To teach Diploma/ Undergraduate courses delivered by the Department and, as required, to teach on associated programmes offered by the institution. • To supervise student projects and assist them in understanding assignment requirements. • Design and execute formative and summative assessment including marking that is aligned with student learning outcomes. • Provide feedback to students on their learning through student consultations. • Conduct research in areas as per discussion with Dean/Head of Department. • Work closely with academic and professional colleagues as necessary, ensure that the programme meets all relevant regulations and requirements of the College and external bodies, such as the MQA/ MoHE/ BAE/ EAC. • Assist in periodic reviews of the programme and external accreditations as and when required. • Ensure examinations and assessments are set, moderated and marked in a timely manner; liaise with validating partners and professional bodies, and present examination marks at Subject and examination boards. • Provide academic counselling to students and refer them to other support services as required. • Handle extra-curricular activities and promotion/ marketing events of the programme. • Other duties within the Department and College as required. Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field with expertise in Automotive Engineering. • Candidates must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) in Mechanical or Automotive disciplines. • Candidates with Professional Engineer (PEng) are preferred. • At least 2 years of lecturing experience in tertiary education. Relevant industrial experience is considered an added value. • Experience in developing teaching materials, including the effective use of recent technologies in facilitating teaching and learning. • Possess good written and spoken communication skills in English. • Good interpersonal and presentation skills. • Able to work independently
