- To hold daily short meeting at Production floor before production start.
- To work closely with Production the readiness of machines to meet Production schedule.
- To ensure smooth conversion of machine base on production schedule at minimum 1 day before the actual run date.
- Conduct daily machine inspections and parameter set-up before production start, all inspections to be recorded in the “Daily Machine Checklist”.
- To raise “Job Request” to Maintenance department for machine maintenance work at Production.
- To ensure Jumbo roll wastage is properly segregated at the converter area, JR wastage collection from Facial/ Towel/ Napkin and Bandsaw machines, and all wastages are properly weighed and recorded before submission.
- To ensure semi used JRs are properly wrapped and labelled before returning to Store.
- To ensure flow of daily information between shifts in the communication book on production and quality matters and machine running conditions.
- To ensure cleanliness of machines and, 5S’ at the machines area which are free from chemical containers, oil, tools and other items which could obstruct the productions flow.
- To ensure all production tools (scissors/ hand held tape dispensers/ knifes) are return to designate area and properly stored after used.
- To brief operators of the machine safety features and requirements.
- To train the machine operators of the process to meet the product requirements.
- To introduce and drive for new improvement ideas for machine efficiency.
- To attend Daily Production Meeting as and when needed.
Daily production reporting & scope
- To record in the daily “Issue of Jumbo Roll” report for JR & machine wastage and K2 qty.
- To record daily updates of machine status into “Technician Report”.
- To ensure accuracy and timely submission of following reports:-
- Daily “Technician Reports” (set-up/ machine status & wastage/ K2/ packaging materials)
- Daily “issue of Jumbo Rolls” report
- “Daily machine checklist” report
- Daily “In-Process inspection report”
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum SPM or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in operating machinery or maintenance
- Basic computer skills will be an advantage
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
