Job Purpose
• To manage and to ensure plant achieve company objectives, KPI and goals
• To establish and to lead section’s quality assurance and control program, compliance in accordance with regulation standard, safety and training requirement
• To maintain aseptic line system and performance including UHT processing, aseptic filling and packing.
• Enhance cost controls activities, optimise productivity, minimizing down time and wastage via AM, PM and TPM programme.
• Actively drive continuous improvement programme.
• To assist Assistant Manager and Manager Plant Operation in all activities in Chilled Plant.
Key Accountabilities
(A) Quality
• Ensure all production and maintenance activities are in accordance to SOP, QMS, prioritise on plant CCP/CPs
• Ensure personal hygiene, GMP and good housekeeping standards maintain in line with HACCP/ISO 22000/22002/FSSC requirement.
• Ensure all record and checklist for quality, production and maintenance are in order and properly documented.
• Identify and manage matters related to quality for strict adherence by team members
• Conduct yearly validation for CCP, CIP and new process/line/ validation/verification
(B) Production and Maintenance
• To lead and carries out laboratory activities, production activities and maintenance activities effectively to minimize down time, losses and waste management. Toward optimum EFF, MTBF, MTTR, OEE performance for Chilled Plant.
• Establish, execute, and enhance Autonomous Maintenance program, Total Productivity Management Program for machineries, equipment, and utilities toward optimum energy, high efficiency and effectiveness for lowest operation cost.
• Keep production equipment and plant environment in clean and hygiene condition according to QMS and WI
• Carry out improvement activities, conduct root cause analysis for “out of norm” and sustain via preventive program including WI, OPL, skilled up resource competency etc
• Assist Manager to solve day to day shift related operation activities; report any issue and potential issue to him/her
• Ensure all the team member is working complying to the company regulations and system including ISO standard, HACCP, GMP, Safety and Environment (OHSAS)
(C) Planning, Execution and Assessment
• Plan quality assurance activities, production, utilities and maintenance activities for optimum capacity utilization, safe, efficient and cost effective manner
• Plan sufficient resource, part and material including raw material, packaging material, CIP chemical at optimum cost and healthy inventory management.
• Ensure proper control and use of the spare parts / tools / materials / equipment in performing the works
• Asess works quality and effectiveness to the system after the job is completed
(D) Safety & Environment
• Ensure safety procedures and safe working methods are practiced
• Identify and manage SHE related matters at workplace including develop and update HIRADC
• Monitor team members and vendor/contractor for strict adherence to personal safety & other Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) related matters
• Ensure compliance to Environmental Management System ISO 14001, included Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) discharge and waste management
(E) Training & Development
• Conduct OJT course, train and develop new employees.
• Organize training program to ensure compliance as per training plan (GMP, HACCP etc) and to increase staff competency and ensure productivity
(F) Manpower
• To make manpower arrangements and ensure maximum utilization of resources
• Plan timely schedule for team members to man the operation lines by taking into consideration of those who are on annual, emergency, medical leaves (absenteeism)
• Check daily attendance of team members to ensure allocation of manpower at operation lines are balanced and is as per line/labour standard
• Provide report on manpower allocations in the operation lines to Manager
• Monitor & control overtime & cost to ensure continuous operations & efficiency
(G) General
• Update maintenance historical information for critical equipment in Chilled Plant
• Troubleshoot problems affecting milk quality, productivity including mechanical and electrical etc
• Coordinate with relevant parties to solve machines & equipment problems
• Monitor repair works to ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner to minimize un-planned down time (UPDT)
• Responsible to ensure implementation of continuous improvement activities across the shifts.
• Participate actively in Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
• Engage team members/subordinates for people development purposes; cost optimization and quality improvement activities i.e. through ICC, suggestion activity, Kaizen, QCC, FI, 5S, MDWT etc
H) Others
• Carry out any other duties or assignments as requested by reporting superior as and when required
