Job Description
Logistics Management:
- Oversee the entire logistics and supply chain process, from procurement to delivery.
- Optimize transportation routes and modes to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
Inventory Control:
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures.
- Monitor stock levels, initiate restocking procedures, and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
Customs and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international shipping requirements.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate smooth import/export processes.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Implement efficiency measures in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Utilize technology and data analysis to enhance logistics performance.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and warehousing.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align logistics operations with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and support to junior logistics staff.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
- Monitor and report on the performance of logistics activities.
- Implement corrective actions to address deviations from performance targets.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on import & export optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Mandarin communication would be advantage.
