About the role

The Associate Manager, Portfolio Management works as a portfolio analyst by developing product proposals and techno-commercial feasibilities in coordination with all cross functional teams (CFTs). This is to facilitate the identification of competitive products to invest. Also, to maintain the current pipeline of products including product lifecycle management and ensure they perform as per the feasibilities.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • To ensure steady pipeline of products for global development in line with organization strategy.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes that impact portfolio decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and positioning for Novugen pharmaceutical products in the marketplace.
  • Execute product selection across various buckets: USA, EU, ASEAN and Emerging markets, and across the various therapeutic areas of focus.
  • Identify portfolio gaps with the help of Medical, Marketing, Technical and IP teams.
  • To prepare and present the product techno commercial feasibilities as per the organization’s policy and SOPs for product selection. Ensure the signoffs with various CFT’s through constant coordination.
  • Maintain the value of the portfolio basket by thought partnership with markets and cross-functional business unit (BU) teams on strategic actions needed in re-prioritization, or corrective actions.
  • Identify and escalate red flags with regards to change in external and internal parameters which may impact business cases, investments required.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for portfolio optimization.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Develop SOPs and training kits, etc. Train portfolio management team globally on best practices as the company expands in future.
  • To supervise and lead a team of executives where needed, including coaching and mentoring to ensure accurate and timely execution of portfolio management deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards relevant to pharmaceutical product management.

About you

  • Must possess a Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ related experience in Pharma, FMCG, and Healthcare industries and preferably with 3 - 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, market access and product lifecycle management.
  • Lead multiple moderate-to-large cross-functional complex projects and programs
  • Strong intrapreneurial skills and mindset from start up to established organization.
  • Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Meticulous and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively deal and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Pharmaceutical Research databases like IQVIA, IPDAnalytics or similar database.
