Job Overview:
The Operations Executive (Assistant) will support the senior management team in the pre-opening and ongoing operations of a hotel or hospitality property. This role requires experience in pre-opening activities, strong knowledge of front office operations, and a solid understanding of housekeeping management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Opening Support:
- Assist with Pre-Opening Planning: Collaborate with the pre-opening team to ensure that all operational systems, processes, and departments are ready for opening day.
- Setup Operations: Support the setup of departmental operations, including front office procedures, housekeeping standards, and inventory systems.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Help develop and implement SOPs for both front office and housekeeping departments to ensure consistency in service and operational standards.
2. Front Office Operations:
- Reservations Management: Assist with the management of reservations, ensuring availability, up-to-date room inventories, and rate management.
- Billing & Payments: Support front office staff in processing guest bills, payments, and ensuring proper accounting procedures are followed.
3. Housekeeping Operations:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Ensure that stock levels are maintained and that supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospitality operations role, with specific knowledge of pre-opening procedures.
- Strong understanding of front office and housekeeping functions, ideally with 1-3 years of experience in each area.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting, preferably with a brand that has gone through a pre-opening process.
- The role may require flexibility in hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during pre-opening and initial operational phases.
- Ready to travel to different locations.
