Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with expertise in 3D modeling, construction drawings, and site coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces, ensuring they align with client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptual Design and Space Planning
- Develop innovative design concepts, including space planning, material selection, color schemes, and elevations.
- Present design ideas and mood boards to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- 3D Modeling and Rendering
- Produce high-quality 3D models and renderings to communicate design concepts clearly.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max to create detailed visuals.
- Construction Drawings and Specifications
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections, that meet industry standards and local regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and project managers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Project Coordination and Site Management
- Attend site and project department meetings to review and coordinate project progress.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Material Selection and Supplier Coordination
- Contact suppliers, collect material samples, and prepare schedules/specifications for finishes and furnishings.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ) for interior design work as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Education: At least a recognized Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing 3D renderings and technical drawings.
- Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Photoshop. Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and technical standards.
- Languages: Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Other Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, responsibility, and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and attend project site meetings with minimal supervision.
- Must possess own transport and be able to travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of project management and budgeting.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices.
