Cybersecurity Architect (Zscaler experienced)

Role Overview
The Cyber Security Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of security solutions for a large enterprise, with a primary focus on Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). This individual will be responsible for migrating workloads to Zscaler solutions, managing Zscaler-based environments, and ensuring seamless transitions from traditional on-premises proxy solutions to cloud-based security frameworks. The Cyber Security Architect will also guide teams in using Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) and integrate security solutions in public cloud environments like Azure and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation of Zscaler Solutions

• Lead the architecture, design, and configuration of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and ZTNA products to meet the security needs of large enterprises.
• Drive the successful rollout of Zscaler products, ensuring smooth deployment with minimal disruption to business operations.

Migration & Integration

• Plan and execute the migration of workloads from traditional on-premises proxy solutions to Zscaler Cloud solutions, and other vendors like Forcepoint, Cloudflare, and open-source proxies.
• Oversee migration projects to ensure proper integration with public cloud platforms, ensuring security compliance and optimal performance.

Discovery & Assessment

• Conduct discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business needs.
• Perform thorough gap analysis and assessment of existing firewall and proxy configurations for central management.

Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX)

• Lead the implementation of Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) from the Zscaler cloud to enhance performance and ensure the visibility of cloud application experiences.

Cloud Security & Public Cloud Integration

• Provide deep knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud security, including public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Implement and manage cloud security strategies that align with Zscaler products, ensuring a consistent security posture across hybrid environments.

Project Management

• Manage the rollouts of Zscaler solutions in a controlled and structured manner, ensuring that multiple tasks and deliverables are tracked and met.
• Regularly report progress to the Head of Operations/Service, ensuring the delivery of key milestones in the project lifecycle.

Client/Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and a customer-centric approach to solution delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and enhancing the client experience.

Networking & Traffic Management

• Leverage network routing and traffic management techniques to optimize the deployment and performance of Zscaler solutions.
• Ensure seamless traffic routing and security policy enforcement through Zscaler solutions.

Qualifications:

• Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Zscaler certifications (ZIA, ZPA, ZTNA) are highly desirable.
• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in the security industry, specifically working with Zscaler solutions such as ZIA, ZPA, and ZTNA.
• Extensive experience in the migration of on-prem proxy solutions to cloud-based security platforms, with hands-on expertise in Zscaler, Forcepoint, Cloudflare, and other proxy solutions.
• Experience in integrating security solutions with public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Solid understanding of network routing and traffic management within large enterprise environments.

Essential Skills:

Zscaler Experience

• In-depth experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and ZTNA solutions.
• Strong background in implementing Zscaler Web Security, Zscaler Cloud Security, and ZTNA models.

Cloud Security

• Expertise in implementing cloud security within public cloud environments (AWS, Azure), ensuring secure application access and network management.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and identity-based security policies.

Migration Expertise

• Experience in migrating large-scale enterprise environments from on-premises proxy solutions to cloud-based security solutions.
• Ability to perform gap analysis and provide recommendations for security enhancements and architecture improvements.

Networking:

• Strong understanding of network routing and traffic management to ensure efficient and secure flow of data within cloud and hybrid environments.

Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX):

• Ability to implement Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) to monitor and optimize cloud application performance.

Project Management:

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate activities, and meet key milestones while reporting to senior management.
• Ability to provide clear communication on project timelines, risks, and progress.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
