Our team is growing, we have multiple opportunities for suitably qualified candidates to join our team as a Assistant Fund Accountant!
The Assistant Fund Accountant at FNZ is a full-time, permanent role based in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Fund Accounting team in maintaining the financial records of superannuation funds in Australia administered by FNZ. Working within the Fund Services team, you will be required to support with accurate and timely reconciliations, , statutory financial reporting, APRA regulatory reporting, and audit support.
Responsibilities will include:
- Record keeping – including reconciling records with external providers
- Accounts payable – including ensuring the accuracy of invoices received
- Expense and reserve management – including management reporting to trustees on fund budgets and operations
- Supporting in the preparation of Statutory financial reporting including assisting with audits
- Support in the preparation of APRA regulatory reporting – both annual and quarterly D2A & SDT reports
- Assist in the completion of Tax reporting – including IAS, BAS, and income tax returns
- Stakeholder management – including communicating with our internal and at times external clients on operational matters
What we looking for in a successful candidate?
- CA or CPA-qualified candidate preferred or studying towards
- Minium of 1 – 3 years of proven experience as a Superannuation Fund Accountant or similar/related industry
- Experience in preparing Statutory Financial Reports
- Experience in preparing APRA quarterly and annual returns is preferred
Relevant Technical Experience (helpful but not essential)
- Knowledge of financial products and securities
- Knowledge of tax in superannuation
- Experience in superannuation wrap funds
- Exposure to successor fund transfers
- SQL and database management skills
