The Position
The Opportunity

In this Travel & Expenses - Compliance Analyst role, you will report to the Regional Lead, Travel & Expense Compliance, and the position will be based at Sunway Pinnacle, Selangor. You will work closely with both the compliance and finance teams to ensure strict adherence to company policies and external regulatory standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve compliance monitoring processes and support continuous operational improvements.

What You Will Be Working On

The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Conducting timely and accurate assessments of employee expense claims to ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in compliance programs, projects, and other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by supervisors or the Head of Department (HOD).
  • Accurately detailing all compliance review activities in Concur during the claim assessment process.
  • Identifying, escalating, and proposing resolution plans for compliance issues in a proactive and timely manner to the SSC Line Manager and affiliates, as necessary.
  • Assisting in the preparation of regular reports and training materials to communicate updates to the compliance monitoring framework.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to identify opportunities for improving compliance documentation, such as reviewing manuals and improving return reason coding.
  • Providing recommendations to the HOD regarding process improvements and actively contributing to team-based solutions.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in compliance reviews, auditing, or a similar role within a highly regulated environment. (Less than 2 years’ experience will align with the Associate Compliance Analyst role.)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of compliance review frameworks and implementation of compliance policies.
  • A proven ability to think innovatively, challenge existing processes when appropriate, and excel in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin (proficiency in Korean or Thai will be advantageous).
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, handle challenging deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with pharma business risks would be beneficial, though not required.
