Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to establish the standard methodology rebates computation (of multiples line cards) which require an in-depth understanding on the rebates incentive program agreement as well as providing analytical support and Rebate accrual proposal.
This role is also responsible to validate and reconcile vendor rebate accrual against actual rebate receipt for the purpose of reduce incidence of rebate leakages to ensure the company maximize the rebate that will drive the company profitability. These allow the business to focus on sales and other business opportunities.
Managing internal and external stakeholders in influencing the accrual decision as well as obtaining correctness and timely information for rebates computation, reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Rebates Computation - having a niche understanding of the rebates program in order to build a solid and sustainable business model with proven methodology. Accrual proposal – regular engagement with country finance and BU Sales Directors to ensure accuracy in rebate calculation and reporting.(25%)
Reconcile Vendor rebates accrual against actual - Ensuring rebates are to be fully maximized by identifying discrepancies and leakages. This will drive profitability within the organization, thus enabling the business to focus on growth opportunities. (10%)
Rebates Dashboard Reports/ Performance Analysis - to perform a detailed analysis on rebate performance, showing trend movements and results on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to empower the organization to make fully informed business decisions. (10%)
Review operation performance and propose methods and control approach. Study and recommend best practise by analysis current practice adopted by team. Taking lead in working with own team & other process team to identify and implement improvement opportunities (10%)
To guide junior analyst to have the appropriate skills, supporting tools and technologies to enable them to deliver excellent customer service and monitoring the performance. (10%)
Touch base with vendor – proactively liaise with vendors to ensure up to date information and changes required on rebates program. Maintain and updated all vendor rebate plan/ agreement/ credit note into book (5%)
Take lead in managing Special rebate projects or ac hoc request by sales and/or management, includes facilitating team meetings using appropriate brainstorming , problem solving , decision making and project planning techniques. (5%)
Invoice vendor rebates quarterly to suppliers and collect amounts due - income can be recorded and the organization's cashflow remains strong. (5%)
Maintain master data spreadsheet - Monitor and build the database exclusion master list based on the past historical information & latest payment details on on-going basis. Connectivity to obtain correct and timely information to minimize those information gap. (5%)
Oversee the processing, reporting, transactions and closing process for all general accounting matters including ledger postings. (5%)
Supporting team back up and resource to ensure smooth operation on daily operation, it is also to provide resolution of delivery problems and dealing with the complex clients questions & resolve constructively for team members. (10%)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with Finance and Accounting field of study required.
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Possesses strong data entry skills.

Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
