Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in data entry, reconciling accounts. This role supports the accounting and finance departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Maintenance:
- Records and takes care of the financial transactions of the organization, day-to-day functions such as recording and filing of the documents
- Charge to the appropriate account while ensuring the relevance
- primary responsibility is to manage the company’s financial data daily
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
- Safeguard sensitive financial information and maintain confidentiality
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
- Access to the bank website and prepare the payment entry then get the approval from Authorized persons.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statement and account records
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, receipt voucher, track expenses, payment voucher and manage payment schedules in cash / bank transactions where appropriate including generate and send customer invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up on overdue payments
- Check purchases with relevant documents for the payments
- Ensure regular payments are made in time
- Report the due payments and flagging up missed payments
- Keeping track of all the money
Tax Preparation Support:
- Maintain organized records for tax filing purposes.
- Assist accountant with the preparation of tax returns and compliance documents.
Audit Preparation Support:
- check and balance Management Account
- follow the Accounting Rules and Regulations for the proper Auditing process
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with accountant, line managers, auditors, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations as needed.
- Perform the duty as and when line management assign where necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent;
- Certified Bookkeeper designation or LCCI is advantaged.
- associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience 1 year as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SQL)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
