Assistant IT Manager

Role and Responsibility

1. Maintain, manage and support the company’s primary application, software applications, database and websites.

2. Assist head of department in maintaining the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications

3. Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for staff, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

4. Implement and monitor security measures to protect the company's data and systems

5. Collaborate with the management to identify and implement IT solutions that support the company's objectives

6. Oversee the implementation of new technologies and ensure the seamless integration with existing systems

7. Develop, maintain and manage IT policies, procedures, and documentation including purchasing and leasing.

8. Assist head of department to manage and supervise the IT team, providing guidance and support as needed

What we're looking for

1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software or equivalent.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT management role, preferably in the web development, application development and database management role.

3. Proficient knowledge with programming language, coding, web application and database management is a MUST.

4. Adequate technical expertise in network administration, server management, and software applications.

5. Basic knowledge in implementing and maintaining security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus, and data backup systems. Strong knowledge and experience will be an added advantage.

6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (hardware and software), with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions.

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

8. Proactive and self-motivated, willing to learn with a keen eye for detail and a focus on continuous improvement

9. Relevant certifications in IT management, network administration, programming or web development would be an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
