Environmental Officer (EO)

Environmental Officer required for our new Site Project Location at Sungai Muda, Seberang Perai Utara, Pulau Pinang

Job description:

• Responsible for managing environmental aspects and impacts at projects.
• To ensure that applicable environmental legal and other requirements are fulfilled at project sites.
• To promote environmental awareness and conduct induction.
• To implement and monitor environmental program at work sites.
• To monitor and control subcontractor’s environmental practices.
• To attend to, investigate and report any environmental emergency and accidents at the project sites.
• To conduct environmental inspection and internal audits.
• To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on accidents and incidents at the project sites.
• To implement Environmental operational controls documented in the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register.
• To undertake all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
• To comply with legal and other requirement applicable to the organization and projects.

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Environmental Safety and Health or related discipline.
• Dedicated candidate with minimum related working experience of three (3) years.
• Certificate in Erosion Sediment and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI) will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software/program
• Work independently with less supervision, good attitude and lateral thinking with high integrity and discipline.
• Able to start work ASAP is an added advantage
