Job Description:
As a Junior Manual Tester / API Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of software products, particularly in the banking, payments, and cards domains. This position involves executing manual and automated testing of web applications, performing API testing, and ensuring that systems meet performance and scalability requirements. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust test cases.

Experience Required:

• Overall Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Manual/Automated/Performance Testing: Minimum of 2 years
• API Testing: Minimum of 1 year
• Tools: Postman, Jira
• Domain Expertise: Banking, Payments, Cards

Nice to Have:

• Domain Knowledge: Security, Investment, Lifestyle, Insurance, Merchants, POS, etc.
• Tools Expertise: Swagger, JMeter

Responsibilities:

Manual Testing:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for manual testing.
• Identify defects, track them, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing.

API Testing:

• Conduct API testing to ensure proper functionality, performance, and security of API services.
• Utilize tools like Postman for API testing, including creating test collections, running tests, and analyzing responses.
• Collaborate with development teams to verify API integration points and troubleshoot issues.

Performance Testing:

• Assist in performance testing and analysis to ensure system scalability and stability, focusing on the impact of API calls and web interactions.
• Use performance tools like JMeter to simulate load and identify performance bottlenecks.

Bug Tracking & Reporting:

• Report issues and defects in Jira, ensuring that bugs are accurately documented and tracked through resolution.
• Work with the team to prioritize and validate bug fixes and enhancements.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate test documentation, including test cases, results, and defects.
• Prepare and maintain API test scripts and automate repetitive testing procedures where necessary.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements based on test results.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
