Responsible for transporting goods from one location to another using a lorry or truck. The job description for a lorry driver typically includes the following duties:
o Driving the lorry: The primary responsibility of a lorry driver is to operate the lorry and transport goods from one location to another. This requires a valid driving license and knowledge of road safety regulations.
o Loading and unloading: The driver is responsible for ensuring that the cargo is properly loaded onto the lorry, secured, and transported safely. At the destination, they will also need to assist with unloading the cargo.
o Maintaining the lorry: The driver should perform regular checks on the lorry to ensure it is in good condition, including checking the oil, brakes, and other vital components. The driver should also report any faults or issues with the lorry to the employer.
o Communicating with customers: The driver should have good communication skills to deal with customers and address any concerns they may have.
o Renewal Road Tax and Inspection PUSPAKOM: The driver must maintain a record of the expiry dates of the road tax and lorry inspection and ensure that the renewal is done before the expiry date to avoid any penalties or legal issues.
o Communicating with logistic department and HOD: The driver must coordinate with the logistic department to ensure that the necessary equipment and materials are available on site, and to arrange for the transportation of goods as needed.
o Resolving issues: The driver must work with the logistic department and HOD to resolve any issues related to logistics, such as delays or problems with transportation.
o Handover Letter: The driver must get signature the handover form from the customer or owner and pass it back to the logistics department
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
