DATA CENTRE SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER

• Develop and maintain software and management scripts to automate operational tasks in the data center such as resource management, monitoring, and reporting. • Need to create specific software that fits the needs of the data center. Also includes resource management applications such as storage space allocation, power distribution or server management. The software should have a user-friendly interface for ease of use and management. • Need to write scripts to automate daily operational tasks, such as routine maintenance, system health checks and disaster recovery tasks. These scripts are developed in programming languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell. • Need to develop scripts to continuously monitor system performance and reliability. Also includes event detectors or signals that indicate potential problems, as well as scripts that detect and report system performance statistics such as CPU usage, storage usage, and network usage. • Need to develop a reporting system to analyze monitoring data and produce useful reports to stakeholders such as management and technical support teams. These reports can help in identifying performance trends, suitability and capacity requirements. • Need to ensure that the software and scripts developed can integrate with existing systems in the data center, including network management systems, storage management systems, or performance monitoring platforms that already exist. • Ensure that all software and scripts developed comply with relevant safety and data security standards. Also the use of best practices in encryption, access control and protection against cyber threats. • Responsible for maintaining software and scripts that have been developed, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adaptation to new or changing requirements.
