DATA CENTER CAPACITY MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

• Monitor and manage the capacity of key resources such as electricity, space, and cooling systems in the data center. • Coordinating the use of electricity to avoid shortages or excesses that could disrupt operations. • Ensure adequate space for the addition of new equipment, upgrades, and efficient maintenance. • Predicting capacity requirements and resource availability at a given time based on expected demand and growth. • Manage resource inventory to ensure adequate availability when needed, including scheduling infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. • Develop strategies to increase the use of existing resources, such as applying energy-saving technologies to reduce energy consumption. • Ensuring the cooling and temperature control system works perfectly to prevent excess heat that can interfere with the operation of the equipment. • Monitor temperature and humidity in the data center to ensure a suitable environment for sensitive IT equipment. • Design and implement efficient cooling solutions to reduce energy consumption and operating costs. • Involved in long-term planning for data center development, including capacity additions and infrastructure upgrades. • Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovations to improve operational efficiency and resource availability. • Collaborate with other teams, including technical and management teams, to fully understand business needs and objectives in data center resource management. • Perform preventive maintenance and periodic care of equipment and system infrastructure to prevent failure and increase lifespan. • Use monitoring and management tools to control system performance and proactively detect potential problems. • Act quickly in dealing with emergencies or problems that arise during the daily operation of the data center.
