Mandarin Teacher (KL)

Overall Responsibilities: • Teaching Mandarin + language proficiency to a range of classes of different levels • Monitoring and evaluating the progress and development of the students under one’s charge and giving useful and timely feedback to students and parents. • Preparing and assessing student learning to facilitate positive and effective development. • Working with others in supporting the department in curriculum development/review and other departmental needs. • Maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge and preparing relevant teaching resources. • Participate actively in Programme meeting and subject-based meetings. • Perform student management duties as required. Key Position Requirements: • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics & Literature (Mandarin) or any related field. Master's Degree preferred. • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in the Education Industry, particularly in International School will be an added advantage, with IB knowledge. • Must have english proficiency at CEFR level C2 • A professional Teaching qualification , preferable IB certificate in teaching and learning. • Must be willing to be trained as IB school teachers as per IBO accreditation requirement. • Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must • Have a strong commitment to and passion for education. • Have a broad and thorough knowledge of the teaching subject. • Be self-motivated, responsible, caring and innovative.
